For when you go to the beach, you can use:
– I am AT the beach. – I am ON the beach.
And for buildings, there are some differences:
When you want to say that you are INSIDE a place we only use IN.
– I am IN my room.
But when you want to say that you are somewhere, you say:
– I am AT the airport. – I am AT my house.
